Just a few weeks ago, we reported that Google had announced their association with Qualcomm to build the “blueprint” for a Standalone VR Headset technology, which they named WorldSense. HTC Vive & Lenovo would be the first to market this year, using the new and improved Daydream 2.0 platform, codenamed Euphrates.
Today we learn that Samsung is reportedly working on their own Standalone VR Headset. Equipped with an OLED display, the headset is rumoured to boast an impressive 2000ppi pixel density. Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled their latest version of the Gear VR with Remote, to go along with the new line of Galaxy smartphones. Those phones doubled the pixel density of their predecessor, delivering 570 & 529 ppi respectively for the Galaxy S8 & S8 plus.
Considering that Oculus Rift & HTC Vive currently offer pixel density of 460ppi, this would be a monumental increase in resolution. This was hinted back in March at the Mobile World Congress 2017, where Samsung would have apparently demoed a headset was reportedly equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 chipset.
We are hoping to see this announced officially in August, alongside the launch of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.

I do not think it’s 2000ppi maybe 800ppi it sounds more logical
